Kickstarter Project

The website has been undergoing some changes lately, most of which have been trial and error on my part. I’m learning the technical side of things as I go, and while the learning process has been extremely time-consuming and often frustrating, the end result is a wealth of knowledge that I hope will make things easier in the future.

The downside is that I seem to have less and less time to do actual writing. I’m so very close to the end, and I’ve outlined up through the ending that I’ve already written, but I feel that I should take more time to work on the novel. My blog will stay updated every week, and I’ll continue to keep an online presence and work through social media outlets, but for the next several weeks I’m going to spend more time on my writing. My blog posts will be shorter, but I will always respond to comments and questions through any avenue. If you have any direct questions that you prefer not to leave in a public comment, please feel free to email me at email@lisamgreen.com or through the email link in the sidebar.

In other news, I’m excited to announce the launch of my Kickstarter project for the novel. This is a wonderful opportunity to spread the word about my book and garner some worldwide attention that would otherwise take much longer. The project is designed to help me in working toward the initial print run for the book. Several people have told me they do not use e-readers, so I want to make sure I have enough books for them, as well as the books I’m giving away to people who donate funds to the project. I may also want to have some for things like book signings since I’ll be contacting the local bookstores in December. I encourage you to check it out at http://kck.st/HS0bca as we spent a lot of time putting together a really awesome video for the book project. The book trailer video will be using some of this footage as well, but that hasn’t been completed yet. Feel free to become a backer if you are interested in receiving any of the patron perks (like signed copies or your name on the acknowledgements page in the book) . However, if you prefer to wait and purchase the book when it is released, that is perfectly fine. Both the print and digital versions will also be available on Amazon and Smashwords, as well as my website. I want the first print run to be a success, and I’m very happy with the project results so far. We have backers from different parts in the world already, and I hope to see even more people interested in the book. I know that not everyone will like it, but I hope to touch as many people as I can with my story.

I literally did not have enough figurative rotten tomatoes to throw at you.

Tactless joke aside, I did see your video, but it didn’t affect me much, because I’m already hyped up about this book. Although, because I didn’t have enough money this week, all I could fork over were some measly $5. As a student, I have to watch my finances, and they haven’t been particularly rosy recently. I may, however, donate a some more when I have the chance.

I am truly ecstatic at any amount of support! You are my biggest fan (well, third biggest I guess) after all! I’m just happy that people want to read my book! I’m totally stalling right now because there’s a scene I really don’t want to write, but I’ll talk about that later. Maybe that will be part of my next blog post.

Yes, yes, that’s nice, but what about your book order? O:-) Did you at least check out the video? Pretty snazzy, huh? As for the weaponry, I really hope it doesn’t come to that. “Buy my book, precious, or I’ll shoot you in the eye” just doesn’t have as nice a ring to it…oooh, ring! Haha! I’ll be here all week, folks.
