New Year, Old Dreams

Nothing says ‘Christmas’ like a life-size version of your book cover!

Framed Book Cover PosterEvery time I look at this, I smile. One, because it reminds me that I am loved and that there are people who care enough about me to go to the trouble of creating something so personal and so wonderful (thank you, Jason Green). And two, because it reminds me that this is real. I am really doing this. This is, in fact, happening. Really. Delays aside, I am on the fast track here, people. Or, at least, a very steady track. Either way, I have more work ahead of me than behind me. But you know what? That’s perfectly alright because the new year only brings new possibilities (and a few more wrinkles), but I’m still working toward the same dream. Between crying over the book and crying over my recently purchased wedding dress (and the venue, and our first dance song selection, and well, you get the point), I’m a bit overly emotional these days. I’ll probably cry when I turn over the final manuscript to my fiance for formatting. I’ll certainly cry on release day. I will no doubt cry at my first bad review. But I wouldn’t miss any of this for the world. 2014 may very well be my best year yet!

Thank you so much for your kind words! It’s a lot to take on at once, but it will certainly make for an exciting year. I look forward to each and every moment (well, maybe not the bad reviews).
