Reflections After the Storm
Not a downpour. Just a trickle.
But a trickle can flood a valley if it perseveres long enough. At least that’s what I keep telling myself. I refuse to wallow in self-doubt because I did what I never thought I could do.
I spoke to people. About my book. In person.
I HAD MY VERY FIRST BOOK SIGNING.
And I was only shaking a little. Yes, the nausea was there, but that will take some time. Only a few copies exchanged hands last Wednesday night, but it was a few copies more than before. The wonderful people I met made the night that much more enjoyable, and I thank my new fans from the bottom of my heart. If you are reading this, you know who you are.
We gave out lots of bookmarks, so hopefully more will slowly come around. Also, the experience was well worth it, as I was able to gain a better grasp of what I need to do next time.
And there will be a next time.
Because I am the rivulet that runs slow but steady through the valley of Shadows. They will not defeat me, and I refuse to stop pushing ahead.
