SERIES INFORMATION
Darkness Awakening is the second book in the Awakened series. This is a fairy tale fantasy adventure with dystopian and mythological elements.
I love myths and legends, magic and fairy tales. This isn’t your typical retelling, however. Certain key story elements are loosely based on “Sleeping Beauty” (along with a few tidbits of some other familiar tales thrown in throughout the series). However, the majority of my series is its own unique blend of many different stories.
In addition, the books will be available in hardcover, paperback, and eBook versions.
Darkness Awakening is scheduled for release on November 19th. Meanwhile, book one is coming up for publication on September 3. Book three is scheduled to be released sometime in early 2021.

BOOK PLAYLIST
Songs will always inspire us in many ways. Writing is no different. I love finding music that suits a particular scene. Sometimes I even gain fresh ideas from the song itself to incorporate into my stories. I don’t necessarily listen to music with lyrics while I’m in the writing phase (too distracting). But I do create playlists and listen to the songs just before I’m about to write the scene or when I need some motivation to keep going.

MEET THE CHARACTERS
AURIANNA
Aurianna is the main character in the Awakened series. Her name is based on Aurora, which means dawn. She is twenty years old during most of the story. Her hair is copper-brown, and her eyes are amber-colored. Most importantly, she struggles with trusting others after an incident a few years ago left her feeling betrayed by her friends. Aurianna is typically more reserved than most, and she tends to sit back and observe others before taking action.
LEON
Leon is the secondary POV character for book two of the Awakened series.
If you read the prequel novelette, Daylight Burning, you know enough about Leon to either love him or pity him (I hope).
But while he does show up in book one as well, you get a lot more of his backstory and personality in book two, even more than you do from the prequel.
